Rally Overview

The Niagara 1000/24 Fall Rally is a 24 hour one thousand mile long overnight time bracketed motor rally. 


Your goal will be to choose one of five mandatory check points, reach that check point and return to the start/finish with no more than 1000 miles on your odometer and no sooner than 24 hours on your time.  


Rally aim is to promote foresight in trip planning, time management, safely coping with changing weather, route, physical and mechanical situations and most of all sportsmanship and safety.

Rally Schedule

11/18 0800-1000:  Check in, safety and rules briefing, vehicle tech inspection and chipping

1000-1100:  Brunch / meet & greet

1100:  Rally cards issued

1200:  Roll out. Individual star with 30 second spacing.

11/19 1200-1600:  Finish window

1600: Dinner and awards

Requirements

  • Valid drivers license
  • Current vehicle registration and inspection
  • Signed liability waiver with copy of DL (copy destroyed or returned upon return)
  • Operable odometer
  • Digital camera

Rules

  • Rest breaks:  It is incumbent on each driver/rider to obtain the necessary amount of rest during the rally in order to safely operate a motor vehicle. Hotels and camp grounds are widely available along the course. 
  • Traffic laws:  All drivers/riders are required to follow any and all traffic laws. Erratic driving or traffic violations will result in discharge from event without refund.  
  • Conduct:  Any unsportsmanlike or rude conduct will result in discharge from event with out refund.
  • Rally cards:  Rally cards will include a number assigned to you and a list of the five check points, one of which you must choose. In the spirit of fairness, rally cards will be opened as a group, at which time you will choose your checkpoint and plan your trip.  
  • Check points:  Upon your arrival at your chosen check point, follow the corresponding  instructions on your rally card.

Early Registration:  $210.00 

Day of Registration:  $240.00

Per passenger or co-driver:  $40.00

Awarding and Sponsors

The driver/rider closest to but not over 1000 miles, closest to but not under 24 hours and completion of one check point will place first. First prize is $1024.00. Second prize is $500.00 and $200.00 for third. Secret prizes for best car or bike and best picture taken. Winners by popular vote.
